TSUNAMI STILL LOOKING FOR FIRST WIN IN SALISH CUP BATTLE

The Coastal Tsunami (7-5-0-1) put on quite the show for their fans tonight but ultimately could not beat the Sockeyes (11-3), who pulled off a 3-2 victory.

 

Richmond had two goals from Beaudy Beaudin (9,10) and another from Michael McIntyre (2). Two of those three goals came on the man advantage.

 

The Tsunami had goals from Nate Hughes (1) and Laszlo Istvanffy (3). The marker from Hughes evened the game at 1-1 and was his first in the PJHL.

 

It was a back-and-forth affair, but penalties ultimately cost the Tsunami, who surrendered the game-winning goal on the Penalty Kill.

 

These two teams are back in action tonight with puck drop set for 5:00 pm.
